What’s new: Alerts for 5X Workspace

We are thrilled to announce Alerts, a powerful new feature that supports real-time notification for your 5X workspace!  

This feature allows you to configure alerts to stay informed about real-time changes across your 5X workspace and get notified externally via Slack and email. You will receive instant notifications via Slack channels and email addresses whenever specific alerts are triggered at the workspace level for Ingestion and Orchestration events.

1. Proactive monitoring: Quickly troubleshoot ingestion and orchestration pipelines with real-time alerts to stay ahead of potential issues and address them before they escalate. Refer to the recommended troubleshooting steps for specific workspace alerts. 
2. Informed Decision-Making: Receive real-time notifications at the workspace level to facilitate timely responses to changes, ensuring that your operations run smoothly
3. Improved Collaboration: Keep your team in sync by configuring alerts to notify multiple channels, ensuring everyone stays informed.

The following features are supported:

1. Customizable Alert Preferences: Tailor alert settings for ingestion and orchestration events to match your needs. Choose when and how you want to be notified.
2. Ingestion Alert Configurations: Set alert preferences for various scenarios, including:some text
   • Successful or failed syncs.
   • Source connection failures.
   • Application connection failures.
3. Job Alerts: Set up notifications for job success or failure to ensure you’re aware of job run statuses in your pipeline.some text
   • Configure Ingestion alert preferences when sync succeeds/fails, source connection and app connection fails.  
   • Configure Job alert preferences when a job succeeds/fails.  
4. Multi-channel support:some text
   • Email Notifications: Easily add, update, and remove multiple recipients for email alerts to ensure the right people are informed.‍
   • Slack Integration: Connect 5X alerts with your Slack workspace to add, update, or delete active channels for seamless communication.

Accessibility

Alerts are available for Admins and Developers. 

You can access and manage Alerts in the following ways: 

1. Navigate to Settings > Alerts 
2. Slack: Connect 5X alerts with your Slack workspace > Add Slack channels > Configure alert preference for Jobs and Ingestion events.
